Sunset Grill is a newly remodeled restaurant, directly on Isla Mujeres' best beach, the famous Playa Norte.

Our varied menu has a complete selection of international cuisine, the best seafood, Mexican specialties, and the delicious creations by our renowned chef.

The standards of hygiene guarantees fresh food, treated with purified water, following the international standards of quality and health.

As a patron of our restaurant, you will enjoy our beautiful palapa and the comfort of the beach using our lounge chairs, shower, and wireless internet access without any additional cost.

Enjoy your day at the beach letting our friendly staff serve you. In the afternoon at our beach bar, we offer an extensive menu of cocktails and liquors with the best sunset of the whole Costa Maya.

In the evening we will provide you with the perfect candle light dinner on the beach accompanied by relaxing live music.

If you are looking for a location for an event or wedding, you may want to visit us. We have a variety of buffet menus as well as various services to the table with the best location on the island.

It is very easy to find us. Walk along the North Beach to the western corner, and in front of the Nautibeach Condominiums is the Sunset Grill. We are open from 8AM to 10PM every day.

"Amazing food and view"
This was our second trip to Isla Mujeres. We stayed at Nautibeach and dined at Sunset Grill many times. We have seen the best sunset at this restaurant. We get to sit on the beach with white tablecloth tables and eat very good mexican food. Their fish tacos are delicious and they make the besh nachos. Everything on the menu is very good. We have had many things. We will be back! I recommend this place for their food and atmosphere.

"Simply Amazing"
Sunset Grill is just simply amazing. Not only are they located on the best beach of the island with the most spectacular views (North Beach), the owners and staff are the most gracious, caring, and enchanting people around. The beautiful and charismatic character of Isla Mujeres is best defined by this restaurant and its owners Felipe & Margarita. As I look back today, there's nothing that I would change - it was perfect. Needless to say, we'll be returning to Sunset Grill for their amazing food and fantastic people many years to come. "Perfect for a leisurely day at the beach"
Sunset Grill is our must go to place on Isla and we have been here many times. The location is optimal for hanging out on the beach chairs. This place has a great deal going- you pay 250 pesos for the use of 2 chairs and umbrella and you get a credit at the restaurant. You can use your credit for beers and some great food. We like the ceviche and the tuna is fabulous. . You can also get smaller items like sandwiches. People with dietary issues can be accomodated. Just talk to Felipe the owner. He speaks perfect English and is very amiable and helpful. Nice bathroom in the back. The restaurant is adjacent to the Nautibeach condos at the far end of North Beach, the best beach on the island. We also recommend this place for romantic quiet dinners on the sand and for watching "Sunset", just like the name suggests

"Best dinning on Isla Mujeres"
We have eaten there several times over the past few weeks. The Mexican Hamburger is without a doubt the best I have had in Mexico or the U.S. The cleanliness is to a standard that is second to none in either country. The menu is in both English and Spanish and the variety to choose from is almost unlimited from local fish dishes with a Mayan flare, steaks, appetizers, and just plan snacks. We love to be there in the evening, sit on the beach, have dinner and watch the most beautiful sunset on the island. The owner Felipe Biermann and his wife are always there and personally visit the tables to insure the guest are pleased with their selection. The wait staff, many of which are bi-lingual, are very attentive, but not intrusive. One may dine inside in the open air next to the pool, during the day one may dine with their feet in the Caribbean, or in the evening at tables set up on the beach. In the evening they have a table set close to the water with Tiki torches for a very romantic special occasion away from the rest of the world.

"Ceremony at the Sunset Grill"

We had our ceremony and reception at the Sunset Grill on June 06, 2011. We were very pleased and happy our decision to have our special day at the location. The sunset on our special day was beautiful. The food at the reception was AMAZING. All of our guests were very happy with it all. All in all, just perfect. Felipe, the owner, and his team did an amazing job. We can not express enough how thankful we are to Felipe for arranging everything for us. "Dinner of a Lifetime"
A dramatic title for a deserving dining experience. We were seated about a bit before sunset by some of the most gracious serving staff I've encountered in my travels. There is something so sincere and ardent about the way they take pleasure in making guests comfortable and satisfied. Our table was on the beach, appointed with tropical floral linens and later a beautiful glass hurricane with candelight. Romantic music was sung from the restaurant by a live performer who added perfectly to the ambiance. Then there's the view...oh the view. We saw the gorgeous flaming red sun cast the sky in heavenly hues before it sunk into the glimmering sea. Then the whitest moon lit the white sand beach as we finished our wine. Our dinner: I cannot recommend the parmesan encrusted fish enough. It was a generous portion of the most tender fish stuffed with rice and veggies. The top was a black bean sauce encrusted with parmesan cheese. My husband enjoyed succulent grouper entree with a great side of vegetables and a potato. I loved this beachside candelit dinner. "Relaxing Atmosphere. Perfect for vacation"
Right on the beach--literally! If you don't want to get your feet sandy, they also have seating under the cabana. It is covered but still open toward the ocean. Met the owners--very friendly. The staff was attentive. Our food was good. The favorite dish of the night was the Treasures of the Aegean Sea--mixed seafood in a creamy sauce baked in a pastry puff. It was very quiet the evening we went. They have tables right at the water's edge for an extra fee if you want a particularly romantic setting. Nice background music that was beach-like without being overbearing.

"My favorite restaurant on the island"
My girlfriend and I ate here 3 times during out week vacation and enjoyed each meal we here. First time there we had the coconut shrimp and the marakesh chicken stuffed with lobster. Second time we had nachos and fajitas. Third time had some dish that had lobster, shrimp, and fish wrapped in a fried shell. I hope to make it back to Isla Mujeres again for another vacation and come back to eat at Sunset Grill again

"The ambiance was amazing!"
If you have a special occasion, this is the place to go! We went as a group of 13 and were seated on the beach at kings table (one long table for 13). It was a romantic candle lit (with hurricane lamps) dinner and we had a ball. The food was amazing, the service good and watching the sunset upon arrival was beautiful. The owner of the restaurant, greeted and seated us and stayed on top of the service as well as checked in on us appropriately throughout the dinner. I would go back again in a heart beat!

"A Great Dining Experience at Sunset Grill"
Sunset Grill hosted the Rehearsal Dinner for our son's wedding. We had a wonderful experience. The staff went out of their way to provide great food and great service for 40 people. The beautiful setting is on the beach with a great swimming area where our guests enjoyed a dip in the ocean after dinner. The Mexican cuisine was well prepared and served piping hot to all of our guests. Their feedback was extremely positive. Thanks to all of the staff for making our special occasion a real treat.

"OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE"
We went to Sunset Grill to celebrate my grandaughters 8th birthday. They set up a table right along the waters edge with tiki torches,candle light and lights under the table. the sunet was beautiful!. the owner (felipe) was fantastic and we feel like he made us a part of his family. Felipe bought my grandaughter a huge pinata of a mexican women and we put candy it. my grandaughter invited the children in the restruant to help her break the pinata. Later he brought a piece of cake with a candle in it and a birthday hat and everyone came down the beach singing happy birthday to her in spanish and then in english. The service and experience was excellent. Thank you very much Felipe and you will see me next year.

"Adventure in Paradise"
I came to Isla de Mujeres on January of 2011 for a few months. I found the Island refreshingly sweet and the people delightful. There is a festive sound in the air with the backdrop of the Caribbean sea keeping your eyes and ears entertained. While there I discovered a very pleasent place to dine ...Sunset Grill. I ate there on many occasions especially for the evening meal. The atmosphere is calming and the service good. You order and the food arrives and what can I say but that it was as delicious as it looked. Good and tasty desserts as well. I had such a great time there. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a very good group that sings between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. This is a wonderful performance . It is lively yet romanticly soft. The Caribbean sea in the background finishes the scene. This was my favorite performance but the Sunset Grill has other entertainment on other nights. If you want great food and good service with superb atmosphere as well as top notch entertainment do not overlook the Sunset Grill. Enjoy! I did.

"Wedding Reception Dream Come True"
My husband and I were married on the island and had our small reception on the beach of Sunset Grill. Felipe, his wife, the new chef, and all of the staff impressed us from the beginning of planning the event via e-mail. Felipe was very prompt and professional in getting back to us with our many questions. When we got to the island we met at the Sunset Grill to finalize the dinner plans. He was very welcoming and it was great to meet face to face. We sat down and discussed in detail the contract. It was so easy we only had to make a few decisions and the rest was done for us. We were so excited for our dinner on the beach with our 20 guests. When we arrived the night of our wedding we were blown away. The set up so was romantic and looked just beautiful. The table was set with under lighting and beautiful candle floral decorations. We chose the "Princess" package which consisted of fish, chicken fajitas, and an alfredo pasta dish buffet style. The food was hot, moist, and most importantly delicious. All of our guests were very impressed. We were told a few times best "wedding food" ever! After dinner and cocktails we were presented with a georgeous wedding cake that was moist and just hands down perfect. We all left full and just in amazement with how beautiful the whole day was. It was a perfect way to end such an amazing memorable day. We had a great time and can not wait to go back for our anniversary.

"Stop here for a good time"
This place is right on the caribeean ocean side. We stopped here because they had football on the television and the place was full of Americans watching the game. A few beers, a margarita and soda, along with some chips and guacamole. The service was good. I noticed their mission statement on the inside of the menus that focused on customer service, and good hygiene. Indeed, the place was extremely clean. It had cloth table cloths on every table eventhough , it was a beach side bar. The open palapa atmosphere was perfect for the beach. The interior furniture of bamboo was nice and the menu also requested we not sit on them with wet bathing suits but ask and a waiter would give a more appropriate chair, The outside bar had hanging swings along the bar and plastic tables and chairs for the wet customers. The bathrooms were in totally working order ( which is not always the case in Mexico). The waiters spoke great English and worn tan slacks and white shirts. They offered a romantic setting in the evening on the beach, complete with white linen table covering and candles. Total bill ony 189 pesos

"Excellent food, view and service!"
This darling restaurant is on the north beach connected to Nautibeach Condos. Fabulous open-air view of the aqua sea, white beach, and pool. The food is excellent, but a standout plus are the lovely owners, so kind, attentive, and friendly. We had our handicapped cousin with us who was struggling with a large beef bourdelaise. In the most gracious and kind way, the owner offered to cut her meat., which was very tender and delicious, just hard for her. We were blown away by his kindness and helpfulness. Also, if it rains and is windy, still go there--they pull down canvas walls and all is cozy. We ate there many times and every meal was delicious. Hard to find from the street, but walk to end of main road on west even though it looks like it might be a sandy alley.

"Great casual beach restaurant, breakfast, lunch, & dinner"
Sunset Grill is right on the beach of Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres, Mexico. It has great staff who are courteous & attentive. They also speak English, which can be helpful. We have stayed on the island 4 times and plan on going back. We will definitely eat here again. We have had breakfasts and lunches here and they area great. We had dinner once and it was also very good. They have a very romantic dinner table they will set up on the beach with much privacy, a white tent and candle light. We have not done that, but next time this will be a must.

"Very welcoming! Nice Restaurant with a beautiful beach view"
We stay at the Club Nautibeach condos when we visit Isla Mujeres. Sunset Grill is at the edge of that property, and is a wonderful, well decorated palapa roofed restaurant with nice food and drinks. The beach bar is cute, with swing chairs. We always have great service, and the owners are often there, making sure their customers are well cared for. I have had good food here, and it's a much nicer place to dine than the tourist restaurants downtown. I like it here as well because I rarely see loud, obnoxious drunks that I see at some of the other places in Isla. Isla Mujeres is such a beautiful place, and it's nice to find a restaurant for adults, where one can go, get good food, be on a beautiful beach, and not get bombarded with noise. My only complaint, turn off the constant music playing. The sound of the ocean is the best music of all!

"An excellent restaurant on an excellent beach!"
I stumbled upon Sunset Grill Rest. while searching for restaurants in Islas de las Mujeres. I got married in Riviera Maya, Mexico but had planned a day trip to Isla de las Mujeres with all my guests. I emailed Sunset Grill Rest. and explained that I had a party of 15 people that would be coming for lunch. I reviewed their menu and explained to them what foods and drinks I wanted for my lunch. I gave them a budget and they were able to accomodate all my requests. My guest and I arrived April 23, 2010. We arrived at 12:30pm and my table and chairs were set up very nicely. I asked if it was possible to take a dip in the ocean since it was very hot that day and my guests and I were eager to jump into the beautiful clear water. We took a nice swim in the beautiful waters. The food was GREAT!! Very BIG portions!! I especially LOVED the burgers! They were good. Overall, my experience with Sunset Grill Rest was GREAT!! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. If you stop in Islas, be sure to stop at the Sunset Grill.

"THE SUNSET GRILL WAS WONDERFUL"
We stayed at the IXCHEL so theSUNSET GRILL was a very short walk on the beach away which was very convenient. The food was good and reasonably priced. The beer was cold and relatively inexpensive. The help was friendly and a lot of fun. Not wild, just fun. The atmosphere was outstanding. On the edge of the beach, a cold bottle of sol, watching the sun set into the gulf, you just can't beat that.

My wife and I recently spent five days on Isla Mujeres and had the pleasure of dining three evenings at the Sunset Grill near our hotel. We enjoyed one evening at a table on the beach and the other two on the restaurant's deck. After the colors of the sunset had been fully absorbed, we were treated to a sky full of stars and a view of the lights from the mainland. We were privileged to meet the proprietors, Felipe and Margarita, who made us feel welcome and at home in their outdoor "dining room". The wait staff were exceptionally friendly and clearly enjoyed their jobs. There is no better place on the island for romance, views and dining.

We first came to The Sunset Grill for dinner while looking for places to have our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The food & service was simply beyond anything we had experienced on Isla to date. The meals we have had there were always exceptionally prepared and fairly priced. Felipe has a talent for finding friendly & attentive staff, his chef is an artist. While visiting Isla Mujeres, if you don't eat at The Sunset Grill your trip will truly be incomplete. Felipe has the ability to make one feel very special, yet as close as family. This is by far the best restaurant on Isla Mujeres. My husband, friends and myself have eaten there on different occasions and have always had great food and great service. The wait staff is always ready to take care of anything you need. I wish I could find a restaurant at home with employees this attentive. The owner, Felipe is fantastic. He makes you feel as though you are a part of his family. When we are on Isla, we visit the Sunset Grill no less than two times each trip. The food is excellent. You certainly get what you pay for. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting the island. The view itself is worth the trip. Thank you Felipe for a wonderful restaurant. We will be back.
